Pangea Day is May 10, 2008
What Is Pangea Day?
Pangea Day taps the power of film to strengthen tolerance and compassion while uniting millions of people to build a better future.
In a world where people are often divided by borders, difference, and conflict, it’s easy to lose sight of what we all have in common. Pangea Day seeks to overcome that – to help people see themselves in others – through the power of film.
On May 10, 2008 – Pangea Day – sites in Cairo, Dharamsala, Kigali, London, New York City, Ramallah, Rio de Janeiro, and Tel Aviv will be videoconferenced live to produce a program of powerful films, visionary speakers, and uplifting music.
The program will be broadcast live to the world through the Internet, television, digital cinemas, and mobile phones.

Striking Writers Need Your Help
As you know, more and more TV shows are going to go off the air because of the stinginess of the studios. Writers want fair compensation when their content is streamed on the Internet by the networks. Right now, writers get nothing for this work – even if it’s written exclusively for online audiences – and the studios want to keep it that way. It’s not fair.
I have just read and signed the petition: “Striking Writers Need Your Help”. Consider taking action yourself. Thanks!

Friends for Peace
I too have started to create more peace in my life. One of the mantras I keep close (I actually have this on a dogtag I wear under my tops), “No weapon formed against you shall prosper” from Isaiah 54:17.
I have made a commitment for 2008 to meet anger with understanding and kindness. We never know what has occurred in the lives of people we meet or why they act negatively. All we can do is understand that everyone has bad days and sometimes all they might need to change their heart is a kind word or deed in the face of their unhappiness.
Love this new site, btw!
