Well, strabismus surgery is basically altering the muscle of the eye and then sewing the eye muscle to the wall of the eye afterwards. Now, this is where a great surgery becomes phenomenal, by adding an modifiable knot technique to the standard strabismus surgery; such as a bow-knot or slip-knot, the surgeon can tweak the eye muscles further simply by adjusting the temporary knot.

After your surgery you will need a patch if the adjustable suture is used. Some surgeons however, prefer an antibiotic or combination of steriod/antibiotic drop or ointment after surgery.
