“What I’ve Done” explores the many ironies of humanity and its ill effects on the earth and the environment. Footage from the video reflects a variety of issues including pollution, global warming, racism, Nazism, gay rights, famine, terrorism, wars, deforestation, poverty, drug addiction, obesity, destruction, rising gasoline prices and crimes committed by humanity.

I want to make my voice heard. I want changes in America to ensure affordable healthcare, economic and job security, the right to choose and so many other things that we care about are a reality. Peace is a state of harmony, the absence of hostility. This term is applied to describe a cessation of violent international conflict; in this international context, peace is the opposite of war. Peace can also describe a relationship between any people characterized by respect, justice, and goodwill.

More generally, life can pertain to an individual relative to her or his environment, as peaceful can describe calm, serenity, and silence. This latter understanding of peace can also pertain to an individual’s sense of himself or herself, as to be “at peace” with one’s self would indicate the same serenity, calm, and equilibrium within oneself.

In two days Al Gore is going to address the UN Climate Change Conference in Bali, Indonesia. At his urging, I’ve signed an important petition showing I support his important call for a visionary treaty to address the climate crisis. I hope you will too.

The world’s elected leaders must take the steps necessary to solve global warming. It’s not too late. We have the opportunity now to improve the Earth’s future for our children, and their children. If we don’t act, we will only have ourselves to blame.
