Help School Kids Opt Out of Bush’s War

November 23rd, 2007

The Bush and the Pentagon are collecting information on children across the country for use by military recruiters under Bush’s “No Child Left Behind” act. Peace Action has an easy to use letter to the editor tool to help you spread the word and stop kids from becomming Bush’s cannon fodder. You can find out more here.

Although I support those who truly desire to serve our country for the right reasons (strictly defense, not offense), I sincerely believe our youth needs to be allowed to mature MUCH more before making these sorts of decisions just as with marriage, parenting, etc.

I have forwarded this to my kids for the sake of my grandkids and to make sure they (kids and grandkids) are aware. Thanks for making me aware of this.
